Know Before You Go

- Your guide will meet you at the Arc du Carrousel. This is a monumental arch with a horse-drawn chariot on top, situated across the road from the courtyard of the Louvre. Standing with your back to the entrance of the Louvre Museum and Pyramid, you will see it across the road, past the roundabout, before the entrance to the Tuileries Garden (Jardin du Tuileries).

How does the timed-entrance ticket work? Your entrance time may be 30 minutes before or after the time you request. For instance, if you select 2:00 PM, your entrance could be at 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, or 2:30 PM.
What are the museum’s opening hours and last entry time? The museum is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM; Friday from 9 AM to 9:45 PM; and closed on Tuesday. Last entry is one hour before closing.
Are there any specific entry requirements or closures I should be aware of? You will need to wait in the security line, some rooms may be temporarily closed, and the Salle des États has separate entrance and exit doors. The loan of strollers or wheelchairs is possible.
How will I receive my tickets and what do I need to do upon arrival at the Louvre? You will receive your Louvre tickets via email. Upon arrival, you must wait in the security line and pass your hands under a dispenser of hydro-alcoholic gel. Your skip-the-line ticket is valid for entry at the Pyramid entrance only.
